So, sometimes I do my own thing and create a pattern. If I don’t write the crochet pattern down, then it’s gone forever, and I can’t duplicate it. Last year I was on a crochet coaster kick. I created a coaster and happened to write the steps down. I tested it and made this multi-color flower coaster and decided I would share it here. Keep in mind that I am not a professional crocheter and have little experience creating written patterns. 4-ply cotton yarn in any color(s)
Size G, 4.0-4.25mm hook.
Tapestry Needle and Scissors
Dc – double crochet
Sc – single crochet
Slst- slip stich
Form a magic ring, ch 2
R1: 12 dc in the magic ring. Join with slst to ch 2.
R2: ch 3, 2 dc in first st and in each st around. Slst to top of 1st dc.
R3: ch 3, dc in next st, ch 1, *dc in next 2 stitches, chain 1. Repeat from * around. Slst to top of ch 3.
R4: ch 1, *7 dc in ch 1 space, sc in next ch 1 space. Repeat from * around. Ss to top of ch 3. Fasten off and weave in ends.
