Come to Me with your plans held in abeyance (suspension). Worship Me in spirit and truth, allowing My Glory to permeate your entire being. Trust Me enough to let Me guide you through this day, accomplishing My purposes in My timing. Subordinate your myriad plans to My Master Plan. I am sovereign over every aspect of your life!
The challenge continually before you is to trust Me and search for My way through each day. Do not blindly follow your habitual route, or you will miss what I have prepared for you. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.Jesus Calling Enjoying Peace in His Presence: May 18
I thought I would take a break from the Dalia Lama Words of Wisdom cards and do a post from a daily meditation book called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. My Son’s Grandmother sent it to me when I was struggling with some issues. I do not read this book daily, but I will open the page to the current date and read the passage laid out before me to ponder when I find myself at a loss or stuck in a rut. I’m trying to regain the great spirituality and faith in the universe that I had years ago.
This passage talks about surrendering our plans or putting them under the plans that He may have for us, to worship Him and allow him to saturate our entire souls. He has a plan with reason and timing for each step of the way. His plan covers every aspect of our lives. Our challenge is to trust Him and seek out His messages. We are left to interpret the messages he sends us to execute His will so that we do not step off our designated path of enlightenment.
When I think of God, I think of him, not as a single, set-in-stone entity but rather a universal life force. His presence permeates absolutely everything. He has many faces and names for all the different religious traditions and cultures. Sometimes He appears to people as a She. Despite the many facets He displays across these traditions, he carries a common theme for the messages he presents in various ways. So yes, His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. If I have misinterpreted the passage in my second paragraph, I would love to hear your spiritual interpretation of it. I would also love to hear other people’s interpretations of the May 18ths passage. Either way, I hope you gained something from Jesus Calling by Sarah Young.
